Elopement at Wiseman's View
This elopement ranks as one of the ones I am most proud of photographing.
Years ago, Christian of Christian Dawn Photography showed me how to photograph elopements. She brought me along to second shoot. I have come far since then. When I finished Emily and Daniel's gallery, I excitedly sent it to her. She told me how much she loved it and how proud she was of my progress.
The day took place at Wiseman's View in Western North Carolina. We took our time and captured every photo they wanted. The setting worked well for their intimate ceremony.
Emily and Daniel traveled from Charlotte to Western North Carolina to elope at this spot. They chose a classic look for the day: Emily in a long-sleeved lace dress and Daniel in a tux.
We chose a Thursday to avoid crowds. Wiseman's View is popular in fall. Even so, another couple chose the same day for their elopement. The overlook offers plenty of room and different spots for photos. Both couples had the space they needed.
Days like this show why I love photographing elopements in the North Carolina mountains.
